Why I Created The Two Republics
One journey changed the direction of my life
My connection to Paris began with a trip in 2017 with my mother. What started as a family journey became a lasting passion for France, history and the kind of travel that changes how we see the world.
I returned through different seasons, including Christmas, and experienced Notre-Dame before the 2019 fire, during its long restoration and after its reopening. Those visits reinforced something I had already begun to feel: in Paris, history is not confined to books. It remains visible, complicated and alive.
I created The Two Republics for travelers who want more than landmarks—and especially for people who may feel uncertain about navigating Europe alone. The goal is to provide comfort and context without taking away the pleasure of discovery.

France and America shaped one another
The Two Republics reflects the intertwined histories of France and the United States: revolutions, ideas of liberty and self-government, wartime alliances and a friendship that has endured through disagreement and change.
That shared story gives the company its historical point of view. Paris is the first key; greater confidence and curiosity are meant to open a much wider world.
